A winning $183 million Powerball ticket was sold to a lucky CT Lottery player in Connecticut who purchased it at a New Haven County convenience store.

In Cheshire, the winning ticket for the draw on Monday, Feb. 14 was sold at the One Stop Convenience Store on South Main Street.

The winning numbers on the ticket were 16-25-27-49-55 with a Powerball of 17 with a “Powerplay” of X3.

In addition to the jackpot winner, CT Lottery was also reporting three fourth-prize winners who matched four numbers and 208 fifth place prize winners who matched three numbers and the Powerball to claim a $100 prize.

Other winners in Connecticut:

  • Sixth place (three numbers): 208 for $7;
  • Seventh place (two numbers and the Powerball): 149 for $7;
  • Eight place (one number and the Powerball): 1,340 for $4;
  • Ninthh place (only the Powerball): 3,265 for $4.

Winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of 1 to 69. The red Power Ball is then drawn from a separate field one to of 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday.

The next Powerball drawing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16 with a reset jackpot of $20 million.
